What was Precambrian time?
Precambrian time is the one of the earliest ages. In precambrian time the earth was mostly made up of sedimentary rock. Fossilized plants and animals buried when sediment was formed. The Precambrian age ended approximately 570 years ago.
The volcanic activity in Precambrian Time
This time there was extreme of volcanic activity. This was the first time volcanoes had started to show up on earth. Hot molten lava leaked out the insides of the crust forming volcanoes. The clouds formed from the volcanoes caused a lot of rain causing oceans to be created.
Life Forms Present
The first one celled organism was created during this time. This would help continue to make new life forms by adding oxygen to the atmosphere. Most of the life forms were mainly cyanobacteria and microbes there was not any plant or life during this time.
How did the Precambrian Time affect the formation of Earth’s atmosphere?
The first atmosphere was formed by gasses trapped in the interior of earth, which is mainly what happens in volcanoes. The gases were emitted by volcanoes. Once there was finally life form on earth the oxygen increased greatly.
